I’ve been meaning to start this blog for a while now, but have
been a little overwhelmed by where to begin considering the events over the
past few months (and the number of pictures Drew and I have accumulated from
our travels). Also considering that we’ve had limited internet access since we
arrived in New Zealand it’s been a bit frustrating finding the motivation to
post anything. I figured the simplest way to start was to join my sister’s photo-project Ten on Ten. I still have limited internet access, but thought it
was important to start documenting and sharing our journey…. and because if I
didn’t my mother would wonder why she agreed to trade her Nikon camera for my
most prized kitchen tool – my KitchenAid stand mixer. Have to admit, I am far
more comfortable in the kitchen than I am behind a camera! So bare with me!
Anyway, because it’s already April and I’ve been meaning to
join this project since the new year, I thought it would be ok for me to do a
little catch and post a handful of my favorite shots from our journey so far. These
pictures aren’t necessarily taken on the 10th of any month, but they
are ones that I love. I’ve posted a few for each month of our journey since we left Portland, Oregon last December.
I’ll do my best to keep up on this project, but I am a
beginner, so please have mercy on me if I slack! I'll be back in a bit with this months installment of Ten on Ten...
